Thank you to everyone who attended the Women United Lunch and Learn on Friday, February 22 at HopCat in Port St. Lucie. There were nearly 45 attendees who engaged in interesting discussions about children’s mental health. The guest speakers were Sharon L’Herrou from 211 Palm Beach and Treasure Coast, Jeff Shearer from Tykes & Teens, and Deborah Dreher, RN, DNP, from New Horizons Mental Health. The reason for this event was to recruit women to learn about community issues, volunteer, and help bring more supporters to the United Way of St. Lucie County.
United Way of St. Lucie County's Women United is a community of women coming together to change the odds for individuals and families. Women United members inspire, educate and motivate others through philanthropy, leadership, and volunteerism. It is a global, growing force of more than 70,000 women dedicated to creating a world of opportunity - for everyone.
Members get to be a part of a community of like-minded women who contribute their personal passions, best ideas, and unique strengths to the mission of building stronger communities. United Way of St. Lucie County's Women United will continue to have socials, volunteer opportunities, and luncheons to engage the women in the community.
