Who Can Shop?

Tools for Schools St. Lucie, a service program of the United Way of St. Lucie & Okeechobee, opened its doors to select St. Lucie County Title I schools this Fall. This resource store provides teachers free school supplies year-round for the economically disadvantaged students attending these schools.

School Eligibility

We understand the majority of schools in our district are eager to participate in this new and important program. Please review the following for information regarding school participation.
Tools for Schools St. Lucie is beginning its operation with a small number of highest needs schools and will build our service capacity annually. Priority criteria for participating schools included public schools within St. Lucie Public Schools with 70% of students on free or reduced lunch.
If you would like your school considered for shopping in the 2023-2024 school year, please contact Jeff Howard, Director of Collaborative Impact, at jeff.howard@uwslo.org to discuss requirements. Our future goal is to grow to help as many classrooms as possible to meet their resource needs.
