United Way of St. Lucie & Okeechobee Mobilizes Community Support After Hurricane Milton
ST. LUCIE & OKEECHOBEE COUNTIES, FL – United Way of St. Lucie & Okeechobee is proud to announce that, just hours after establishing a Hurricane Relief Fund, thanks to the generous contributions of our community, we have raised over $2,500 for hurricane and tornado relief efforts. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all who have donated, helping us make a difference in the lives of those affected by this devastating storm.
As our relief efforts continue and the path to recovery remains long, we are still welcoming donations. Contributions from St. Lucie County will directly support local relief initiatives, while donations from Okeechobee County will benefit those affected in Okeechobee. For donations from outside these counties, funds will be directed to the areas of greatest need in either St. Lucie or Okeechobee. Your support makes a meaningful impact!
To contribute, please click here or text STORMRELIEF to 269-89. This will send you a link to our donation fund, as well as resources for those in need. We urge you to share this information widely with anyone who may be able to help or who requires access to essential resources.
We have been collaborating with key partners such as the Red Cross, Mustard Seed Kitchen, and Treasure Coast Food Bank to mobilize resources and assist with hurricane relief efforts. Just yesterday, we facilitated a connection between Catholic Charities and Mustard Seed Ministries, enabling the distribution of water, MREs, cleaning supplies, and hygiene products to victims of the tornadoes that struck St. Lucie County.
In light of our ongoing community relief efforts, we have decided to postpone our "United in Conversations" event. We believe it is essential to remain focused on providing support where it is most needed right now, and we look forward to rescheduling this event at a later date when we can better serve our community.

Thank you for your continued support as we work together to rebuild and recover.
